How are scientists trying to cure it.
Scientists are trying to cure it by using a technique called exposure therapy. During this therapy, people will be exposed to a certain fear they have. For example, if someone is afraid of dirt, the therapist will have them be around dirt, do garden work, or have them hold or touch dirt. Another treatment is a medication, which control the obsessive behaviors. Antidepressants are also used to keep the patient happy and calm.
